The project helps children and young people to organise events and activities for themselves and their community. Our summer scheme gives local young people the chance to enjoy a wide range of exciting activities as well as a few nights of adventure away from their estates. The project works closely with other organisations that provide services to young people, encouraging them to come and work with young people on estates. These include:
the Health Bus, which comes to the estates to give advice and information on growing up, sexual health and sexuality, drugs, diet and healthy eating
drugs advice from Response
arts and drama activities with The Roundhouse and Tribal Tree
involvement in improving the local environment with Groundwork Camden and Islington
arts and adventure on the canal with th e Pirate Club
Any group of young people living in Community property who have an idea for an event or activity or would like to find out more about things available for young people in their local area should contact the project's youth workers. They can be reached on 020 7428 4316 or through the CSC on 020 7428 4328. They can also be reached by writing to them at:
